Elizabeth Welch, MD

Dr. Welch is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She is the Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory within the Division of Cardiology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Welch was a trauma nurse prior to going to Medical school. She did her Pediatric training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and stayed as a four-year chief. Dr. Welch did her Cardiology fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital followed by a Neonatal fellowship. She also has an MBA from the University of Miami.

Dr. Welch’s clinical interests are morphology and 3D imaging. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Neonatology and Cardiology. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
