Dr. Padilla is the Chief of the Psychiatry Department at Miami Children’s Hospital. He received his medical degree from the University of Santo Domingo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Dr. Padilla completed his residency and served as Chief Fellow Consultation-Liaison at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University New York State Psychiatry Institute at Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, New York. Dr. Padilla is Board certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.
Dr. Padilla participates in clinical research, with his most recent initiatives involving treatment options for children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. He has also published and lectured extensively.
Dr. Padilla is a member of the American Psychiatry Association, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Florida Psychoanalytic Society “Friends,” and the Florida Psychiatric Society.
