Be Part of a World Renowned Children's Hospital


Volunteers contribute in many ways providing comfort, care and unexpected joy to the children and families in the hospital, as well as supporting the professional staff. We are excited and want to thank you for your interest in wanting to volunteer at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The Volunteer Resources Department orients, interviews, trains and places all qualified who want to volunteer. We enthusiastically welcome individuals of all backgrounds and abilities. 

Founded in 1950 by Variety Clubs International, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital® is South Florida’s only licensed specialty hospital exclusively for children, with more than 650 attending physicians and over 130 pediatric sub-specialists. The 289-bed hospital is renowned for excellence in all aspects of pediatric medicine with several specialty programs ranked among the best in the nation in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014-15 by U.S. News & World Report.
