Joshua Chang, MD
Pediatric Epileptologist
Dr. Joshua Chang is a pediatric epileptologist with the Department of Neurology, part of the
Nicklaus Children’s Neuroscience Institute. He earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Chang completed a residency in pediatric neurology at the University of Chicago, where he served as pediatric neurology chief resident. He also completed pediatric epilepsy fellowship training at the same institution. His research experience includes work in pediatric epilepsy, developmental and epileptic encephalopathy, ketogenic diet therapy, EEG clinical biomarkers, febrile status epilepticus, infantile spasms, and tuberous sclerosis complex. His clinical interests include
genetic epilepsy, ketogenic diet therapy and
neonatal seizures.
Dr. Chang is a member of the Child Neurology Society, the American Epilepsy Society, the International Neurological Ketogenic Society, and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society. He has presented research at professional meetings and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in a variety of high-impact scientific journals.
