Alejandro Enrique Cambara, MD
Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist
Dr. Alejandro Enrique Cambara is a board-certified pediatric hematologist-oncologist at Nicklaus Children’s. He earned his medical degree from the University of Medical Sciences of Havana in Cuba. Dr. Cambara completed a residency in pediatrics at University Pediatric Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, followed by a residency in pediatric hematology-oncology at the same institution. His clinical interests include leukemia and bone marrow failure disorders.
Dr. Cambara is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric hematology-oncology. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Children’s Oncology Group. Dr. Cambara is a member of the pediatric residency faculty at Broward Health Medical Center and an affiliate professor at University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine and Nove Southeastern University. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and he has presented at medical conferences.
Dr. Cambara is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the multispecialty medical group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System.
