Know Before You Go FAQ - Telehealth

How can I change my appointment?

Keeping appointments is important for your child’s treatment. We understand other obligations may arise that force you to miss an appointment. If you are unable to make your child’s appointment, please call 1-888-624-2778 to cancel or reschedule the appointment.

How should I prepare for my Telehealth appointment?

To ensure a smooth telehealth visit, please make sure your child is present for the appointment, as their participation is required. Your child must also be physically located in the state of Florida during the visit. We recommend finding a quiet, comfortable space where you can both focus and engage fully with the physician. Additionally, please download and install Zoom on your device ahead of time to avoid any technical delays.

What should I have ready before the child’s appointment?

Please complete your pre-registration through the link you will receive prior to your visit, which includes uploading your ID and insurance documents, signing your consents, and providing any medical history. Please check with your insurance if a physician referral or authorization is required; otherwise, your appointment may be canceled or rescheduled.

How can I schedule my follow up appointment?

You can schedule your appointment online or by calling 1-888-624-2778 from Monday to Friday: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

How do I check-in for my appointment?

A member of our team will give you a call before your appointment to assist with check-in, gather any necessary information, and collect payment if applicable.

How long will my appointment take?

The length of your appointment can vary depending on the specialty and the specific needs of your child. Our goal is to provide excellent care tailored to your child's health needs. Generally, appointments can range from 30 minutes to an hour. If your appointment requires diagnostic testing, it may take longer.

Where can I view my child's records?

Nicklaus Children’s has a patient portal where you can view your medical records, laboratory results, view upcoming appointments, and send and receive messages with most physician practices. If you are not using the patient portal, you can request your medical records here.
