Nicklaus Children's Expands Pediatric Gastroenterology Services

The Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Nicklaus Children's is growing to better meet the needs of our community. In addition to our recent service expansion in Palm Beach County with the joining of John M. Peters, DO, and Carrie Firestone Baum, MD, MPH, we have opened a new office on the hospital's main campus. Located directly off the main lobby of our state-of-the-art Advanced Pediatric Care Pavilion, this more than 4,000 square-foot space offers:

• Seven exam rooms
• An on-site nutritionist
• Close proximity to the Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center and other pediatric specialty services
• Access to an on-campus Publix pharmacy, as well as the hospital's Emergency Department, if needed

 
The following members of our pediatric gastroenterology team now see patients at the main campus:

• Lina Felípez, MD, FAAP
• Shifra Koyfman, MD, FAAP

 
This service expansion is part of Nicklaus Children's vision to be where the children are and bring world-renowned care and expertise recognized to communities throughout South Florida. In addition to our four Miami locations (main campus, Doral, Midtown and Sunset), gastroenterology consultations are also available in Aventura, Boynton Beach and Palm Beach Gardens.
