About the Speaker:

Dr. CaicedoDr. Caicedo is the medical director of the Fecal Transplant Program, medical director elect of the Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Fellowship Program and a pediatric gastroenterologist within the Division of Gastroenterology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. He is board certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology. Dr. Caicedo is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology. His clinical interests include inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), food allergies, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and nutritional imbalances, including obesity and malnutrition. Dr. Caicedo’s current research is focused on fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) to support the management of patients with recurrent Clostridium difficile (often called C. difficile or C. diff) infections who previously failed to recover with antibiotic therapy.

Dr. Caicedo sees patients at the Nicklaus Children’s Midtown Outpatient CenterNicklaus Children’s Doral Outpatient Center and Nicklaus Children’s Palm Beach Gardens Outpatient Center. He is bilingual in English and Spanish.
