DJ Laz Visits Radio Lollipop

DJ Laz of the Power 96 Morning Show visited the Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) Radio Lollipop studio on June 28, bringing toys and prizes for program participants. After the evening show, he visited hospitalized children who were unable to participate in the studio’s activities and donated $500 to support MCH’s in-house radio station.
 
On August 14, 1996, Miami Children’s became the first hospital in the United States to host a Radio Lollipop. Radio Lollipop is a fully equipped in-house radio station that involves the patients in recreational child-focused radio programs activities, fun and games.  Radio Lollipop first began in 1979 at Queen Mary’s Hospital for Children in England.
