Director, Division of Urologic Surgery

Dr. Rafael Gosalbez is a pediatric urologist at Nicklaus Children's Hospital. A graduate of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain, Dr. Gosalbez completed his internship, residency and fellowship in pediatric urology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He served as Chief of Pediatric Urology at the University of Miami from 1992 to 1999, when he left the university to join Nicklaus Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Gosalbez was honored with the 1993-94 Annual Teaching Award by the urology residents at the University of Miami. Dr. Gosalbez is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and belongs to multiple national and international urologic societies. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Section of Urology. He is the author of numerous books, monographs, and manuscripts. He also serves as an editor for Current Opinion in Urology and Urología Pediatrica.

Dr. Gosalbez was listed in "Best Doctors in America" National Chapter in 1998.
