Child and Adolescent Psychologist
Dr. Salgueiro is employed by Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, the physician-led multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She is a child and adolescent psychologist within the Department of Psychology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Dr. Salgueiro earned her doctorate from the Miami Institute of Psychology/Caribbean Center for Advanced Studies. She then completed a psychology internship at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the United States Department of Justice-Dependency Court Intervention Program for Family Violence - PREVENT (Prevention and Evaluation of Early Neglect and Trauma) with the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida in Miami.
Dr. Salgueiro is a member of the American Psychological Association. Her clinical interests include adolescent therapy, family therapy, anxiety, depression, learning disorders, assessment, learning disorders and developmental delays.
Dr. Salgueiro sees patients at the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital main campus. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
