Dr. Casta earned her medical degree from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Caguas, Puerto Rico. She then completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital, followed by a fellowship in sports medicine at Boston Medical Center in Massachusetts. Her clinical interests include sports medicine, concussions and fracture care.
 
Dr. Casta is board certified in family medicine. She is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Physicians and the Association of American Medical Colleges. Dr. Casta is a team physician for the U.S. Ski Team, USA Judo team and also provides coverage at the annual Sailing World Cup Regatta in Miami, Miami JCC Maccabi Games and the South Florida Junior Orange Bowl. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has presented at conferences.

She is fluent bilingual in English and Spanish.
