Nicklaus Children’s 2015-16 rankings are as follows:
“All of us at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital are honored to again be recognized as the home of some of the nation’s top pediatric subspecialty programs,” said M. Narendra Kini, MD, MHA, President and CEO of Miami Children’s Health System. “This leadership is a tribute to our physicians, nurses and staff for their devotion to pediatric care excellence and innovation. We look ahead to new opportunities to serve and innovate in the care of children and families in the region and beyond.”
Deise Granado-Villar, MD, Chief Medical Officer/Senior Vice President of Medical & Academic Affairs, said, “At Nicklaus Children’s, the care of children is our unwavering passion. Each day, we dedicate ourselves to providing hope and healing for children and their families. This is made possible through the care excellence and leadership of our medical staff and the entire clinical team. It is truly a privilege to collaborate with so many remarkable doctors and caregivers who inspire and lead us in our service to the region’s most vulnerable children.”
The U.S. News rankings were based on clinical survey data from 184 pediatric centers and reputational survey information from pediatric specialists and subspecialists.
The Best Children's Hospitals methodology factors in clinical outcomes, efficiency and coordination of the process of care delivery, compliance with "best practices" and steps to control infection and care-related resources such as adequate nursing staff and availability of programs tailored to particular illnesses and conditions.
