Swimming Lessons Offered at MCH Dan Marino Center Pool

Published on: 05/04/2010
WESTON – The Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) Dan Marino Center is gearing up for the summer season and continues to offer swimming lessons in its onsite pool. These lessons teach children about water safety and help them build the confidence and skills required to prevent drowning accidents. Programs are available for children as young as 6 months old under the supervision and care of highly trained instructors.

The MCH Dan Marino Center pool is also utilized for therapeutic treatments to complement other physical and occupational therapies offered through the center. Children with certain medical conditions may benefit from the range of motion and decreased gravitational effects that aquatic therapy in a heated pool provides.

The various swimming programs available include aquatic fitness classes, individual and group classes, stroke development and lessons for children with special needs. For more information about swimming lessons and aquatic therapy treatment, please call the MCH Dan Marino Center in Weston at 954-385-MARINO (6274).
