Power 96 Presents the 3rd Annual Radio Lollipop Radiothon to Benefit Miami Children’s Hospital

WHO:   Power 96 WPOW-FM, a Beasley Broadcast radio station, and Radio Lollipop, an international, non-profit organization dedicated to providing care, comfort, play and entertainment to children in hospitals. 

WHAT:    Power 96 once again reaches out to the South Florida community with a 36-hour Radiothon to help raise money for Miami Children’s Hospital’s Radio Lollipop program, the innovative, in-house radio station designed to stimulate the minds and raise the spirits of the young patients. 

Last year, Power 96 WPOW-FM raised over $170,000 for Radio Lollipop, more than tripling the $50,000 raise at the inaugural event in 2007!  In addition to numerous local celebrities stopping by, including Pitbull and Flo-Rida, several recording artists called in from around the country to make a donation!

During the 36-hour broadcast, Power 96 will be accepting donations from several Walmart locations in Miami-Date and Broward Counties.  For the final 12-hour stretch, everyone is invited to Hialeah Gardens Walmart Superstore for a live broadcast by Miami legend DJ Laz.  One hundred percent of proceeds will benefit Miami Children’s Hospital.
