New Vice President of Professional Services at MCH

MIAMI, FL – Juan R. Gonzalez Barroso has been named Vice President of Professional Services at Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH). His responsibilities include operations and strategic planning for numerous hospital programs including the Cancer Center, Orthopedics, the Congenital Heart Institute, and Endocrinology. 

“We’re pleased that Mr. Gonzalez Barroso has joined Miami Children’s and we are looking forward to working with him on many exciting new initiatives and projects,” stated Thomas M. Rozek, President and CEO of Miami Children’s. 

Prior to joining Miami Children’s, Mr. Gonzalez Barroso was Associate Administrator and Accreditation Director for Hospital Damas, Inc., Ponce, Puerto Rico. For the last ten years, he has been responsible for leading the development of the clinical services, medical staff relations and accreditation for Hospital Damas, Inc., a 306 bed facility with a 140 year tradition of service to the city of Ponce and its surrounding communities. 

Mr. Gonzalez Barroso resides in Coral Gables. 

Founded in 1950, Miami Children’s Hospital is the only licensed specialty hospital for children in South Florida. The 268-bed medical complex offers medical care and services for children from birth to age 21.
