Nicklaus Children’s Health System (NCHS) was honored during the 21st annual eHealthcare Leadership Awards with a Platinum Recognition for Best Social Media, and a Gold Recognition for Best Healthcare Content. Platinum Recognition is the highest level of achievement bestowed by the annual awards program, which highlights the very best websites and digital communications from a broad spectrum of healthcare organizations.
Best Social Media: NCHS was recognized for the growth of their social media channels, specifically Instagram and YouTube, which saw a significant increase in the amount of subscribers and video views in the year 2019. The many live video streams, as well as new original video content that was posted across the platforms in that year, were the main driver in subscriptions and user engagement.
Best Healthcare Content: The NCHS marketing department and their digital agency (RISE) were recognized for their successes in producing high quality health care content, which could be tracked to measurable improvements in organic traffic to the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital website. In addition to producing over 1,000 pieces of content related to diseases and treatments provided by Nicklaus Children’s specialists, the organization has also amped up production of videos, created a parents’ blog, and produced a monthly newsletter focused on children’s health.
More than 200 organizations were recognized as winners of Platinum, Gold, Silver and Distinction Awards. The 2019 eHealthcare Leadership Awards recognized winners in 20 different categories.
