Miami Children’s Hospital Opens New Pediatric Care Center

MIAMI, FL.− Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) recently opened its new Pediatric Care Center to meet the community’s growing pediatric needs. The Pediatric Care Center, open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, offers a comprehensive array of health services to ensure healthy growth and development as well as medical control of acute and chronic conditions. Walk-in patients are welcome, but appointments are recommended. On-call physicians are available after hours.

“The Center is dedicated to see your child in a fast, efficient manner while providing quality service,” said Pediatric Care Center Director, Jenae Schlipman.

Pediatric Care Center Primary care health services are provided by the MCH’s Primary Care Group of board-certified pediatricians in conjunction with the hospital’s pediatric medical residents. Specialty clinics are staffed by many of the region’s finest pediatric sub-specialists. The medical team also includes nurses with special training and experience in the care and treatment of children from infancy up to 21 years of age.

The center honors state health insurance programs such as Medicaid, Florida Healthy Kids and Kid Care as well as other insurance programs. Services are also available on a fee-for-service basis.
