Published on: 02/27/2009
Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) has been recognized once again as one of the top 125 training facilities in the nation by Training Magazine in 2008.  MCH was ranked 17th among the nation’s Top 125 Training Organizations by Training magazine. MCH is the only pediatric hospital to make this elite list of organizations that excel at staff training and learning development. MCH has been included in the magazine’s list every year since 2006.

The ranking is determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including financial investment in employee development, innovative learning solutions, quality and quantity of certifications offered to employees, web-based knowledge exchange, leadership development programs, and alignment to business strategy and goals. MCH shares this prestigious recognition with the following big name corporations: General Mills Inc., Capital One Financial Corporation, Verizon Communications Inc. and Best Buy Co., Inc.

Miami Children’s Hospital offers over 125 certification programs annually for basic and advanced life support, neonatal and pediatric resuscitation, and medical trauma and leadership certifications. Its education department, accredited by the American Heart Association and Trauma Center, serves as a certified training center for employees, local fire fighters, paramedics, as well as patients and their families.
