MCH delivers specialized pediatric care through a virtual technology platform. Mobile applications, interactive robotic devices, mobile medical carts and medical kiosks with diagnostic instrumentation and interactive video capabilities are just some of the ways that MCH uses technology to provide patients, physicians, nurses and even other healthcare providers with convenient access to board-certified MCH pediatric specialists.

“Technology has enabled us to extend world-class healthcare to children anywhere around the world,” said Ed Martinez, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Miami Children’s Hospital. “We are honored to be recognized for this leadership,” he said.

“The digital business movement is a force CIOs can't ignore. Just as Amazon.com transformed the retail industry, Netflix changed the face of movie distribution, and Orbitz and others reinvented travel planning, new digital companies, technologies, and business models will shake up a range of other industries, from healthcare to manufacturing to higher education. Digital businesses are adept at using the web in conjunction with mobile, social, analytics, and other technologies to not only boost sales, but also change their relationships with customers. The 2014 InformationWeek Elite 100 highlights companies that are leading this digital business revolution, redefining business models and reshaping industries,” said InformationWeek Editor In Chief Rob Preston.
