Miami Children's Hospital Hosts Community Baseline Pre-Concussion Testing for Children

Published on: 08/04/2014
WHO: The ImPACT® program at Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) will host free baseline pre-concussion screenings at several outpatient locations across South Florida on Saturday, August 9. The testing is open to middle school-aged students and older. ImPACT®, immediate post-concussion assessment cognitive testing, tests your child prior to a head injury to establish a baseline in cognitive functioning. Should he or she have a head injury later, the baseline can be compared to post-concussion testing and determine the severity of the injury.

WHEN:  Saturday, August 9 from 10 a.m. to Noon

WHERE: At the MCH main hospital campus and all MCH Outpatient Center locations:

Reducing incidence of concussions has become a public
health priority.
