Miami, Fl — On Friday, March 21, 2003, the Miami Children's Hospital Dan Marino Center celebrated five years of success with a big splash! The Center’s “Under the Sea” party had a special appearance by NFL legend and co-founder Mr. Dan Marino. Also in attendance was Stanley C. Panther, Scribbles and Trix the center's favorite clown duet. Other special activities and entertainment included Shelly's Production's version of Toy Story live, a DJ, a petting zoo and a trackless train.

The event was attended by former and present patients, such as the three-year-old Amanda-- a remarkable child with the drive and determination to overcome challenges associated with cerebral palsy. Amanda’s mom states that she loves the Center’s early intervention team for creating treatment plans that are helping Amanda make incredible progress.

Founded in 1998, the Miami Children's Hospital Dan Marino Center provides multidisciplinary evaluation and treatment for children with neurological disabilities. The Center is the sole multidisciplinary pediatric out-patient facility in South Florida. The Dan Marino Center also provides access to top pediatric specialists from Miami Children's Hospital, the only licensed specialty hospital exclusively for children in South Florida.
