Miami Children's Hospital Chief Psychologist Selected as a CNN Medical Contributor

Miami, FL - CNN en Español has announced the appointment of Dr. Marisa Azaret, chief psychologist at Miami Children's Hospital, as medical contributor. In this role, Dr. Azaret will be continuing with the expansion of the network’s professional team whose commitment is to provide precise and comprehensive programming for Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic community. She joins the network and will be able to capitalize on the vast array of medical information provided by our prestigious CNN Worldwide medical team.

Dr. Azaret will contribute with regular reports, analysis and knowledge on health issues across CNN en Español programming. In addition, she will host special programs related to health and wellness.

Dr. Azaret is the current chief psychologist of the Behavioral Psychology Program and member of the Miami Children's Hospital medical faculty. She has devoted her life to the practice of pediatric psychology during the past 23 years and is a frequent participant in symposiums in Latin America on prevention and psychological intervention in children, adolescents and families.

In addition, Azaret has served for many years as a producer and host of mental health programs and segments for major Hispanic U.S networks. She also hosted her own TV show titled “Crecer” on Casa Club TV Channel in Latin America. She received an EMMY award for her outstanding work on camera as well as a nomination for her role as producer.
