Miami will join a dozen other cities in a national town hall meeting to focus on health care reform and identify the health care issues of greatest concern for the new administration. Proposals to Policy: a National Conversation on Health Care Reform is a unique effort led by the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). More than 75 of Miami-area business, government and health industry leaders will participate in a live, interactive dialogue with leaders in Washington DC, followed by a local panel to discuss and debate the issues and implications of major health care reform proposals on Florida, its residents and businesses.
Key discussion topics will include:
- Implications of major health care reform proposals for Miami and Florida
- The cost of the president elect’s health reform proposals and how it will affect American taxpayers
