Mario Murgado and Michael Fux Elected Officers of Nicklaus Children's Health System Board

MIAMI -- Mario Murgado, President and Chief Executive Officer of Brickell Motors, has been re-elected chair of the board for Nicklaus Children’s Health System, parent organization of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Michael Fux, CEO of Comfort Revolution, a leading developer of high-end sleep products, was re-elected vice chair.
 
Mr. Murgado and Mr. Fux will provide fiscal and operational leadership to the health system, which includes the 289-bed nonprofit pediatric hospital, a growing network of nonprofit outpatient centers extending from northern Palm Beach County to southern Miami-Dade County, Pediatric Specialists of America, the system’s employed physician organization; a management services organization, and an ambulatory surgery center, as well as a line of children’s wellness and safety products.
 
Both leaders have been active within the health system for many years, serving on various boards and their committees.

Mr. Murgado was first elected chair of the system board in 2016. Brickell Motors, which will soon celebrate its 18th year of operations, features a diverse family of dealerships, including Brickell Motors, Buick/GMC, Honda, Mazda and Brickell Luxury Motors, all located on SW 8th Street; Ocean Cadillac in the city of Bay Harbor Island, Audi and Infiniti in  Stuart, Florida, two new Chicago-based additions, Honda of Downton Chicago, Volkswagen of Downtown Chicago, and coming soon to Jacksonville, Florida, a Bentley franchise.
 
Mr. Fux has served on the system board since 2013. Mr. Fux is founder of the Michael Fux Foundation (MFF), devoted to enriching the lives of children with serious illnesses by creating programs to provide assistance and support to the children and their families. MFF funded The Michael Fux Family Center at Nicklaus Children’s, which offers a welcoming environment for families of children receiving care at the hospital, including a movie theater, recreational spaces, full kitchen, laundry facilities, a small exercise gym for families and a hair salon.
