Mr. John M. Lie-Nielsen and Mr. Drew Kern have been appointed to serve on the board of directors of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, providing guidance to the 289-bed nonprofit pediatric specialty hospital and its network of outpatient centers. Both will provide leadership on the board’s Marketing and Hospitality Committee, with Mr. Lie-Nielsen serving as committee chair.
Mr. Lie-Nielsen is an entrepreneur specializing in launching and developing financial services firms. In 1999, he founded ACA Financial LLC, offering a variety of consumer finance products, which grew over 10 years to approximately 275 locations across 11 states. He later founded One Park Financial LLC in 2010, which uses algorithmic underwriting to identify good credit opportunities for small businesses. Mr. Lie-Nielsen has also been a member of the Young Presidents Organization, a global group of leading CEOs, since 2008 and serves on its Miami Executive Committee.
Mr. Kern is Senior Vice President of EWM Realty International, a regional real estate leader. Mr. Kern is a top-producer for EWM’s chairman’s club with sales that place him in the top one-half percent of agent’s nationwide. Mr. Kern’s civic leadership includes serving as chair of the board of Nicklaus Children’s Health Foundation President’s Cabinet, as a trustee of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and as a founding member of Miami-Dade Region of Business Network International, a global networking group.
