Mr. Jaret Davis , Co-Managing Shareholder of the Miami office of the international law firm of Greenberg Traurig P.A., has been elected 2018 chair of the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital board of directors. The 19-member panel oversees the operations of the 289-bed nonprofit pediatric subspecialty hospital and its network of outpatient centers extending from southern Miami-Dade to Palm Beach County.
Mr. Davis oversees 170 attorneys and 200 business staff based at the Greenberg Traurig firm’s founding office and focuses his corporate and securities practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions and large financings with an industry focus on companies in the IT, health care and biotech sectors. As a founding member of the firm’s Emerging Technology Practice Group, Davis has been a driving force behind the increased focus on technology and entrepreneurship in the firm’s Miami office and has served as one of several leaders spearheading the firm’s global efforts to be a dominant player in the technology industry.
Also elected to 2018 Nicklaus Children’s board leadership positions were: Vice Chair Jodi Laurence, co-founder of Florida Health Law Center of Davie, and
Dr. Jefry Biehler, Chair of Pediatrics, Florida International University, now serving as secretary.
