June 13, 2016 – IDG's Computerworld has named Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, part of Miami Children’s Health System, to its 2016 Best Places to Work in IT list. Nicklaus Children’s was among one of 100 top organizations recognized for providing great benefits and compensation. The award is based on the 23rd annual Best Places to Work in IT survey.

“We are honored to once again be recognized by Computerworld in its Best Places to Work in IT list. Our number one priority is to provide the best possible to the patients in our care and investing in our employees and the latest technologies is an essential part of that process,” said Edward Martinez, Chief Information Officer at Miami Children’s Health System.

The IT Department at Nicklaus Children’s has been recognized for utilizing technology, such as mobile applications, interactive robotic devices, mobile medical carts, medical kiosks and more to support the hospital, a growing network of outpatient centers and MCH Anywhere, the health system’s telehealth program, which serves patients around the world.  Recently, the hospital was awarded an HIMSS Level 7 facility designation by HIMSS Analytics. This is the highest level a hospital or institution can achieve in the transition to a completely integrated electronic health record model.

"The organizations on this year’s Best Places to Work in IT list excel at creating a dynamic and satisfying IT work environment,” says Scot Finnie, editor in chief of Computerworld. “In a competitive market for tech talent, these outstanding employers are able to attract highly skilled IT pros by offering great benefits, new learning opportunities, access to cutting-edge technologies and challenging, business-critical projects.”
