Published on: 11/09/2015
MIAMI – Great Place to Work® and Fortune have recognized Miami Children’s Health System (MCHS) as one of the 50 Best Workplaces for Diversity. This is an exceptionally notable honor as recognition is based on employee assessments of the quality and inclusiveness of the workplace.

“Miami Children’s Health System is honored to be recognized for our diverse workforce. This is testament to our commitment to fostering an exceptional work environment in which all  employees are valued as individuals. Together, we are committed to providing support and exceptional care to the children and families we are privileged to serve,“ said Michael Kushner, Senior Vice President and Chief Talent Officer for Miami Children’s Health System.

MCHS and the 49 other winning companies were selected based on evaluations submitted by more than 128,000 women and 69,000 minority employees on Great Place to Work’s Trust Index© employee survey. Employees considered everything from how comfortable they feel being themselves; the degree of favoritism or insider politics they observe in the workplace; the fairness of promotions; the degree of honest connection with coworkers; their access to senior leadership; who receives information and professional development and who doesn’t.

Scores also take into account how well-represented women and minorities are within the workforce, management and executive positions; how positively they experience their workplace on an index of factors where women and minorities tend to have a less positive experience than their colleagues; and how favorably women’s and minorities’ experiences compare to the 139,000 men and 184,000 Caucasians also surveyed.

“The companies on this list are leaders who recognize the strategic importance of creating workplaces that attract and support the best talent in their industries,” says Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work® United States. “The best companies are focused on creating great workplaces for all.”

The 50 Best Workplaces for Diversity ranking is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work® and Fortune based upon employee survey feedback from published Great Place to Work® Reviews.
