Dr. Steven Stylianos, Chief of Pediatric Surgery at MCH and Medical Director of Trauma Services, was featured on the cover of the South Florida issue of Florida Super Doctors 2009. The publication, which appears annually, includes lists of doctors chosen by their peers for their medical excellence.
Key Professional Media, Inc., the publisher, asked more than 15,000 medical professionals to nominate one or more South Florida doctors in 30 specialties based on one question: “If you needed care, who would you choose?”
While numerous MCH doctors were included on the list, Dr. Stylianos was one of several singled out for a feature article within the publication. In addition, he was selected to be on the cover.
Dr. Stylianos, who joined MCH in 2005, is a graduate of Rutgers University and the New York University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgical training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, and subsequently spent two years as the Trauma Fellow at the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute in Boston. Dr. Stylianos completed his pediatric surgical fellowship at [Dr. Steven Sylianos] Boston Children's Hospital in 1992. He is board certified in pediatric surgery, general surgery and surgical critical care.
