Dr. Nolan Altman Receives Gold Medal Award from the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology

Miami- Dr. Nolan Altman, Chief of the Radiology Department at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, has received the Gold Medal Award from the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology. The Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology established this award to officially acknowledge and honor those who have made extraordinary contributions to enhance the development and/or stature of pediatric neuroradiology, including service to the society.  It is the Society’s most distinguished honor.

“I am honored to be recognized by the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology. Pediatric Radiology has been a lifelong passion of mine and am committed to continue to provide the best in technology and research to the patients and families we serve,” said Dr. Altman.

Dr. Altman has over 30 years of exclusive pediatric experience, with expertise in neuroradiology and angiography. Dr. Altman trained at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital and Mt. Sinai Medical Center and received his fellowship training in neuroradiology at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. He has participated in research on functional magnetic resonance and tractography in an effort to develop and apply new techniques for the diagnosis of challenging neurological conditions in children. Dr. Altman has also presented at numerous lectures for the Pediatric Post Graduate Course sponsored by Nicklaus Children’s Hospital as well as at national and international conventions.
