“When I was in 5th grade back in 1995, I got really bad cramps on my right side. For a few days I walked around in pain, until a family friend told my mother I could be suffering from appendicitis. I was rushed to Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, and had my appendix removed that night. The doctor told me that if I had waited any longer, I could have died. Thankfully, the care I received at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, saved me, and I made a full recovery.
