About Dr. Guleserian

Board certified in general surgery, thoracic surgery and congenital heart surgery, Dr. Guleserian operates on neonates, infants and children, as well as adolescents and adults with congenital heart defects. Her achievements include performing the world’s youngest combined heart-liver transplant in a three- year-old in 2006, world’s smallest and youngest heart transplant in a one-week-old, five-pound baby in 2007, world’s smallest and youngest pacemaker placement in a 32-week premature neonate weighing less than four pounds in 2008, and world’s smallest and youngest total artificial heart implantation in a nine-year-old in 2013.
 

About Dr. Tirotta

The Chief of the Dept of Anesthesia and Director of Cardiac Anesthesia for The Heart Progra, Dr. Tirotta has been part of the Nicklaus Children's Hospital medical staff since 1991. He is actively engaged in clinical research, in the search for innovations and technologies that improve post-surgery outcomes and reduce pain for heart surgery patients.
