In February 2013, during the President’s Gala, we had our first Dancing with the Alumni event. The six competing couples were introduced by Dr. Vivian Hernandez-Trujillo and Dr. Anselmo Cepero.
The couples brought their enthusiasm and energy making it difficult for the judges to choose a winner.
Dr. Beatriz Ortega and Dr. Moises Simpser danced a rumba, Dr. Rossana Sanchez and Dr. Ruben Gonzalez-Vallina danced a jive, Dr. Mirta Florin and Dr. Marco Danon danced a waltz, Dr. Claudia Herrera and Dr. Will Geng danced a mambo, Dr. Mayra Capote and Dr. Melquiades Alvarez danced a tango and Dr. Deise Granado-VIllar and Dr. Nestor Valeron danced a hip-hop; each dance beautifully choreographed by Dr. Luis Concepcion.
After deliberation, the judges chose Dr. Beatriz Ortega and Dr. Moises Simpser as the winning couple. This event turned into an unforgettable night!
