Big Brothers Big Sisters School to Work Mentor Program

Published on: 05/16/2016
Nicklaus Children’s Hospital has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Miami to provide workplace  mentoring through the School to Work Program. MCHS family members had the opportunity to mentor high school students from Booker T. Washington Senior High School and Miami Jackson Senior High School during the 2015/2016 school year. Our hospital mentors provided teens, many of which often face adversity, with strong and enduring guidance.  We look forward to welcoming new students to our program in the fall for the 2016/2017 school year.

Thank you to the following hospital mentors who helped make this program possible:
Zoila Araica, Jane Bragg, Jennifer Cordo, Susan Fornaris, Yasameen Kharazmi, Linda Nylander-Housholder, Ivette Roldan, Shakeva Swain, Cristina Bonich, Francis Forte and Janice Yanez and site coordinator Wendy Johnson.

If you are interested in mentoring a high school student in the 2016-2017 school year please contact Wendy Johnson at wendy.johnson@mch.com.
