Helen & Jacob Shaham Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute at Nicklaus Children's Reognized for Excellence in Cancer Registration

The Florida Department of Health and the Florida Cancer Data System (FCDS) has awarded the Helen & Jacob Shaham Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute at Nicklaus Children's the 2024 Jean Byers Memorial Award for Excellence in Cancer Registration. The award is given to Florida healthcare facilities that have met or exceeded state and national high-quality standards for case identification, data completeness, timeliness in reporting cancers to FCDS and various data quality metrics used to monitor data quality trends in cancer reporting. The award was given for the data provided in 2022.
