Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, part of Miami Children’s Health System, is the recipient of a 2016 eHealthcare Leadership Distinction Award for best social media networking. The hospital is recognized among health care organizations across the country that exceptionally align digital communications with marketing and traditional media campaigns.

Nicklaus Children’s recognizes the importance of utilizing technology to support all aspects of the care environment in today’s digitally driven society.  The hospital’s digital communications strategy is no exception. With more than 230,000 Facebook followers, the website and social media pages play an integral role in ensuring patients and families are informed at all times, including the ever popular smart phones and tablets.
