Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, offers a variety of food and nutrition options for its patients, staff and guests.
Nutrition Services for Patients: The Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, Food and Nutrition Department provides meals, special formulas, and clinical nutrition services to inpatients. The meals prepared and served by the department meet the nutritional requirements of the patients based on their medical and cultural needs, while at the same time appealing to their taste. In addition, the department offers outpatient follow-ups by referral of the medical staff. For more information about these services, click here.
Cafeteria: The Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, Cafeteria is located on the first floor of the Variety wing, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our cafeteria options include hot meals, a salad bar, a grill, a deli and a prepared foods area. You can obtain the daily menu by calling ext. 6368.
Cafeteria Hours are:
Breakfast: 7:15 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Dinner: 4:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. on Fridays
4:30 p.m. - 2 a.m. Saturday through Thursday
Aroma Café: The Aroma Café is located adjacent to the Cafeteria in the first floor of the Variety wing. This cafe serves soups, deli sandwiches and wraps, ice creams and other desserts, and has a coffee counter.
Terrace Café: The Terrace Café is located on the first floor in the Ambulatory Care Building near the Information Desk. This cafe serves soups, deli sandwiches and wraps, and has a coffee counter.
Vending Machines: There are a few areas with vending machines around the hospital. To the west of the Cafeteria are coffee, soda, ice cream, and snack vending machines, as well as a microwave available for visitor use. On the second floor of the hospital, near the Intensive Care Units, is another room with vending machines.
