As the gateway to the Americas, Miami has an international flavor that will make anyone feel right at home. Spanish, English, Creole and Portuguese are among the many languages spoken by Miami residents.
International patients are able to receive care and guidance with the assistance of our multilingual staff. There are many employees at Nicklaus Children's who participate in our “language list” and are able to serve as translators. Additionally, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital, has 24-hour access to AT&T Language Line, a service that allows for translation via telephone for whichever language is needed, available seven days a week. This service is free to our patients and facilitates the treatment process. We are here to help you and will strive to meet and exceed your healthcare needs.
Staying in touch with home
We recognize that you have responsibilities at home and that it is important for you to stay in touch with your family, friends, and office when you travel. Whether you need to send or receive facsimiles or e-mail, require the services of a courier, or any other personalized assistance, call us and we will promptly make arrangements to take care of those needs.
