Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is proud to recognize Dr. Julie Kantor, pediatrician and associate professor of pediatrics at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, on her induction as president of the Miami-Dade County Medical Association (MDCMA).
A proud Miamian, Dr. Kantor has served and grown with this community throughout every stage of her medical career. For more than two decades, she has served as an attending pediatric physician at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, summa cum laude, from Florida International University.
Dr. Kantor’s career in pediatric medicine is grounded in two core commitments: caring for children and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals. These two pillars of leadership form a strong foundation for her presidency of the MDCMA.
Representing a diverse network of physicians, residents, and medical students, MDCMA is committed to advancing healthcare through advocacy, education, leadership, physician wellness, and community service. The association champions the interests of the medical profession while addressing the evolving healthcare needs of Miami-Dade County’s multicultural communities. Through collaboration, innovation, and public engagement, it continues to shape the future of medicine in South Florida and protect the integrity of the physician-patient relationship.
