Nicklaus Children’s Hospital pediatrician Dr. Gloria Reifkohl will discuss specifics of newborn care including bathing, temperature taking, sleeping patterns, diapering, swaddling, soothing, feeding techniques and more. In addition, she will discuss when to take your infant to the doctor, colic, reflux and vaccinations. Infant dolls will be used to allow for a hands-on experience.

About the Speakers
Dr. Gloria Riefkohl is a board certified pediatrician at The Gladys M. and Frederick Stewart Pediatric Care Center at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Main Campus. Dr. Riefkohl attended the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and completed her pediatric residency at St. Agnes Hospital, Maryland (affiliated with John Hopkins Medical Center). In addition, Dr. Riefkohl holds a Masters in Public health from the University of Miami, and a Masters in Health Services Administration from Barry University. Dr. Riefkohl ‘s areas of interest include international health, community health programs, injury and disease prevention, teaching, and working with children with special health care needs.
