This class is designed for families of newborns and babies up to 12 months of age. Our speaker will discuss activities to improve the overall development of babies in physical skills, fine motor skills and play. The goal is to educate families of young babies on tummy time strategies, playing strategies, proper feeding, and positioning of the young baby to support development. Families are encouraged to bring their baby to the class.
About the Speaker:
has a doctorate in physical therapy and is a board-certified pediatric specialist of the American Physical Therapy Association, with more than 18 years of experience working with children, from infants to adolescents up to age 21. She is experienced in working in the home, community, outpatient
and school settings. She assisted with continuing education courses to address infants and children with neurological dysfunction. She enjoys helping families become advocates for their children and promoting independence in children with all abilities.
