Be Part of a World Renowned Children's Hospital

 

Volunteers contribute in many ways providing comfort, care and unexpected joy to the children and families in the hospital, as well as supporting the professional staff. We are excited and want to thank you for your interest in wanting to volunteer at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The Volunteer Resources Department orients, interviews, trains and places all qualified who want to volunteer. We enthusiastically welcome individuals of all backgrounds and abilities.

 
 

Founded in 1950 by Variety Clubs International, Nicklaus Children's Hospital, formerly Miami Children's Hospital® is South Florida’s only licensed specialty hospital exclusively for children, with more than 740 attending physicians and over 220 pediatric subspecialists. The 289-bed hospital is renowned for excellence in all aspects of pediatric medicine with several specialty programs ranked among the best in the nation in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014-15, and 2016-17 by U.S. News & World Report.

 

Magnet Recognized American Nurses Credentialing Center LogoNicklaus Children's Hospital is also home to the largest pediatric teaching program in the southeastern United States and has been designated an American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet facility, the nursing profession’s most prestigious institutional honor.

 

Off Campus Locations

Nicklaus Children's Hospital has volunteer opportunities at the main hospital campus, as well as our off-campus locations. All volunteers are processed at the main campus location.
