Martha McGillMartha McGill, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Ms. McGill joined Miami Children’s Hospital in September of 2010. Martha is a seasoned and accomplished business-minded healthcare executive with over 26 years of experience in healthcare operations; with 20 years leadership at pediatric teaching hospitals. Martha is responsible for leading all daily hospital operations, operational and service line strategic planning, customer service, quality of care, financial performance, employee engagement, capital construction and enhancing academic relationships. Results are achieved while ensuring the delivery of world class patient care in a high acuity pediatric environment.

Prior to joining the hospital, Martha served as Senior Vice President of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston; a 255 bed, acute care, Emory University affiliated, tertiary/quaternary care, and regional referral hospital; and President of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Hughes Spalding hospital; a 50 bed, acute care, Emory University and Morehouse University, primary and tertiary care hospital. Hughes Spalding became part of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta while remaining part of the County Authority Health System.

Martha received her BS degree in Nursing from Valdosta State University. Her Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA) were accomplished through Georgia State University.
