Dentistry Residency Application Requirements

  • The applicant must have a DMD or DDS degree, or its equivalent from an ADA-recognized school of dentistry. US citizens from foreign dental schools will be considered.
  • Candidates must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00.
  • The applicant must have passed Part I and II National Dental Board Examination.
  • The applicant must register in PASS and with MATCH. (Please read the sections below for more information.)

International medical school graduates are also eligible to apply, but must submit a copy of a current valid certificate from the Education Council for Foreign Medical Graduates with their initial application. Applicants may be considered for admission if graduated from a non-ADA accredited international dental school. International candidates should also clearly specify the details of their current visa status in the ERAS application and should note that Nicklaus Children's Hospital is not sponsoring J1 visas.
