What should I have ready before the child’s appointment?

Please bring your driver's license and insurance card to the office.

To help things go smoothly, check if your insurance requires a referral before your appointment. If it does, be sure to bring it with you so you won't need to reschedule. Not sure? Just give your insurance provider or the office where your child's appointment is scheduled a quick call—they'll be happy to help!

Nicklaus Children's Dental Services is a teaching facility

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is a proud teaching facility. This means you may be seen by one of our resident dentists. Our residents are dentists who have graduated dental school and are completing their specialty in Pediatric Dentistry. All cases and procedures are presented to the faculty attending dentist where they are reviewed and approved before any work begins on the patient. We are committed to providing the best care to every child.

Where can I park upon arrival?

We offer patients and families free valet parking right in front of the practice, we also have designated parking in front of our facilities. There is additional metered parking available on the street.

How do I check-in for my appointment?

Upon arriving at the dental office, please check in with the staff located directly in front of the elevators. After checking in, have a seat and wait for the staff to call your name.

Where can I view my child's records?

Please call 786-624-3368 to request your medical records.

How long will my appointment take?

The length of your appointment can vary depending on the specialty and the specific needs of your child. Our goal is to provide excellent care tailored to your child's health needs. Generally, appointments can range from 30 minutes to an hour.

How can I locate my provider's office?

Be on the lookout for an appointment reminder that includes the address for your visit. Download the MyNicklaus app for directions, and to access digital services such as physician directories, appointment scheduling, patient records and more.

How can I change my appointment?

Keeping appointments is important for your child’s treatment. We understand other obligations may arise that force you to miss an appointment. If you are unable to make your child’s appointment, please call 786-624-3368 to cancel or reschedule the appointment.

You can schedule your appointment by calling 786-624-3368 from Monday to Friday: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
